Computer Design & Integration LLC (CDI LLC) Expands Advanced Services Group

Firm responds to client demand for Hybrid Cloud Solutions and Software-Defined Data and Networking

Computer Design and Integration LLC (CDI LLC) Advanced Services group announced plans today to expand team roles in order to respond to industry demands for specific IT infrastructure solutions. These changes optimize CDI LLC’s ability to respond to client demand for Hybrid Cloud Solutions and Software-Defined Data and Networking.

The goal of the Advanced Services group is to provide expertly designed services and solutions around customers’ most important areas of IT. They will be responsible for advanced assessments, creating the Center of Excellence with clients, as well as driving application-down architecture and services.

This change will include the following shifts in responsibility: Jay Hussein, senior director, network practice, has added the management of the firm’s Cisco Gold partner relationship to his responsibilities. Joe Cerami, in addition to his role as director of Professional Services–Data Center Solutions, will also lead the EUC/Microsoft practice and Infrastructure Services, which includes delivery for the firm’s Cisco network practice, EMC products and Converged Infrastructure.

Tom Durso, director of Solution Architecture, will continue to head up operations for data center pre-sales, and will now be responsible for the group’s 10-99 business center and data center cost modeling. Rob Owen, chief architect, will take on added responsibility of ensuring quality for Infrastructure Services for the pre-sales organization.

The firm has also announced several promotions that strategically align with the goals of the group. Tony Daniello has been promoted to director, Infrastructure Services, where he will be responsible for the EMC business, the Cisco network practice and Converged Infrastructure. Dan Edwards, practice manager, will be leading the Advanced Services group, while Frank Delgado will assume responsibility as head of the firm’s Converged Infrastructure business.

Phil Nau, senior technical consultant, will now manage the EMC storage practice, as Yury Magalif, principal architect, steps into the role of practice manager, where he will run both the EUC and Microsoft practice. Matt Sprague, manager of Infrastructure Services, has been asked to head the Shared Services group for the firm’s Northeast Managed Services division.

John Nazal, the newest addition to the organization, joined CDI LLC as principal architect for Advanced Services. In this role, Nazal will provide direction for CDI LLC’s Software-Defined strategy as he outlines and builds the firm’s cloud, automation and orchestration offerings.
