Organizations today
are requiring more and more IT services and features to meet the
ongoing business demands they face. Therefore server operating systems
must support an extensive array of services that provide for availability,
reliability, scalability, and more – all within a secure environment.
Windows
Server 2003 includes all the functionality business customers need
today from a Windows server operating system to "do more with
less." Organizations currently running Microsoft Windows NT
Server version 4.0 can benefit from migrating to Windows Server 2003
with its expanded features and increased performance and stability.
As a Microsoft Certified Solution Provider,
CDI provides implementation and migration services that help companies
improve the performance, management and responsiveness of their IT
environment. Offering extensive experience in migrating companies of
all sizes, CDI’s clientele have found the following benefits
when implementing Windows Server 2003.
|
Reliability – Improves
uptime and scalability while helping system administrators maintain
a healthy and reliable server environment. |
|
Scalability – The
latest features increase scale-up and scale-out capabilities. With
increased scalability and reliability existing servers can do more
work, or the same work can be done by fewer servers, leading to
lower costs. |
|
Availability – Clustering
provides high availability for mission-critical applications such
as databases, messaging systems and file and print services. Clustering
works by enabling multiple servers (nodes) to remain in constant
communication(Eight Node Support). Load balances incoming Internet
Protocol traffic across clusters. Network Load Balancing enhances
both availability and scalability of Internet server-based programs. |
|
Active Directory – Microsoft
Active Directory service simplifies the administration of complex
network directories and makes it easy for users to locate resources
on even the largest networks. Improvements to Active Directory
and new features, including cross-forest trusts, the ability to
rename the domains, and the ability to deactivate attributes. |
|
Volume Shadow Copy
Restore – Enables administrators to configure point-in-time
copies of critical data volumes without service interruptions.
Copies can be used for service restoration, archival purposes,
or restoration. Productivity is improved by the ability to better
recover documents. |
|
Command Line Management – Significantly
enhances command-line infrastructure, letting administrators perform
most management tasks without using graphical user interface. |
By using Windows Server 2003, CDI can save your business
both time and money through fast deployment of state-of-the-art applications
with the availability, reliability, scalability and security that today’s
corporate users and customers demand.
CDI is an IT infrastructure services company that
lends knowledge, experience and credibility to helping companies facilitate
